ATTORNEY GENERAL'S CHAMBERS,
Hong Kong, 27th July,.....1934.
REPORT ON ORDINANCE No.
20
..of 1934.

1.
2.
I have examined the accompanying Ordinance. inti tuled an
Ordinance to provide for the Incorporation of the
Regional Superior in Hong Kong of the Foreign Mission
Sisters of St. Dominic commonly known as the Maryknoll
Sisters, and am of opinion that it is an Ordinance
which is not contrary to the Governor's instructions.
The said Mission controls and manages a number
of schools and mission stations in South China. It
also directs and maintains two schools in the Colony,
and has from time to time acquired land and buildings
in the Colony for the purpose of carrying on its work.
3. The Ordinance which was introduced and passed
as a private Bill follows the form usual in Incorpora-
tion Ordinances of this nature.
4. In my opinion this is an Ordinance to which His
Excellency the Governor may properly assent in the
name of His Majesty and on His behalf.
Rebissell
Attorney General.
